Albert Ortiz was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School and attended John Jay College Of Criminal Justice. Mr. Ortiz began his career with the federal government as a United States Border Patrol Agent in 1978. He was promoted to Special Agent in 1988 and has conducted many types of investigations for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, to include administering wire taps. Presently he is a Special Agent assigned to the Border Patrol’s Anti-Smuggling Unit in Tucson, Arizona. He served eight years in the Marine Corps Reserves and New Mexico National Guard. Agent Ortiz has experience as an EEO counselor and as a union representative. He keeps active with his 50’s and 60s vocal group.
